Custom work, built around your project
Every project is different. Whether it's restoring a classic vehicle, rebuilding a boat interior, repairing heavy equipment, or creating something that has never existed before, I bring over 23 years of professional upholstery and fabrication experience to every job. If another shop told you it couldn't be done, bring it to me anyway.

Hudson Trim Works
23+ Years of Professional Experience
Automotive • Marine • Aircraft • Commercial • Custom

My name is Allison Hudson, and craftsmanship has been part of my life for more than 23 years. I started sewing professionally at 14, making custom window treatments, and never lost the pull toward precision and building things that last.
Since then I’ve worked across automotive, marine, motorcycle, commercial equipment, furniture, leather repair, custom fabrication, manufacturing, and commercial awnings. Every industry taught me something the last one didn’t which is how you end up with a skill set most upholsterers never get the chance to build.
As lead seamstress in manufacturing, I developed new product designs and wrote the production procedures other employees trained on. From there I specialized in leather repair with Will Leather Goods, then moved into automotive and marine work restoring interiors, rebuilding seats, installing and removing full vehicle and boat interiors.
The project I’m proudest of: an 18-section commercial awning stretching three city blocks. 437 hours of fabrication, and every section fit exactly right on installation day. That’s not luck that’s what careful planning and precision actually look like.
During COVID, I made more than 2,500 protective face masks, sent out to my community and across the country. A good reminder that skilled hands can matter beyond the shop.
Before Hudson Trim Works, I worked as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. That work shaped how I communicate, how I stay organized, and how seriously I take treating people with respect all of which shows up in how I run this business today.
Hudson Trim Works comes down to one belief: honest work, honest communication, and pride in every stitch. Car, boat, motorcycle, or something that doesn’t fit a category I build it to last.
I’d love to hear about your project.
